18 months old!

Our baby is growing up! She was technically 18 months old last Friday, but today was her big checkup at the pediatrician. Her stats are: 23 lbs. 3 oz. (30th percentile), height 33.25" (85th percentile), and head circumference 18.5" (60th percentile). She continues to be tall and thin, and I continue to be jealous of that! She did not have to get any shots this time, BUT she cried so hard and was so upset about the exam that she threw up all over me and the nurse. It was not fun! The doctor said that she looks great and not to be worried about her lack of talking yet. If she still isn't talking "a lot more" in 3 months, we should call them, and I don't know what they would do. We'll hope that is not an issue! She said that it sounds like Erin is eating plenty, and her thinness is just how she is built. Otherwise, she said that everything else looks good, and we'll be seeing them again in just a couple of weeks for the new baby!

We all had lots of fun in Concord this past weekend for cousin Logan's 3rd birthday, and we got to see him in action at his first ever t-ball game. He did great! Erin also got to test-ride his new Toy Story bike at his party, and she thought that was pretty cool.

Our carpet also got installed last Thursday, and we are just thrilled with it. Here is a picture of it in use:

Carpet, Flowers, Dress

What's new around here? Not a whole lot! We are now in waiting mode for the new baby. We had the room all set up, and then we decided to get new carpet for our upstairs to match the downstairs. That's coming on Thursday, so the baby's room is now cleaned out, along with things we can live without between now and Thursday.

I also planted flowers this week and am keeping my fingers crossed that we don't have any frosts from now on this season.

Erin is just busy doing her usual things - she has become a little more independent, which is very nice around the house, and not so nice when she wants to walk alone in parking lots! We are trying to encourage her to talk more, but she just isn't interested. I'm sure there will be plenty of talking before we know it.

And, some token cuteness - Erin wore this pretty dress to church this morning that Grandma and Grandpa F. got her:

Family Fun!

Erin and I had lots of fun this past week on our dog-vacation to Concord. Bob had to work, so she and I left Bella here and went to see Great Grandma and Grandpa H. and mommy's cousins Alison and Madeline and their parents. Erin showed off her swing and bubble obsessions, and we also finally went to check out Reed Gold Mine, which is 10 minutes from my parents' house. The kids were so-so on panning for gold, but were not too crazy about the dark mine. Anyway, we had lots of fun and she had to take a super long nap after we got back here on Saturday to recover! I can't get the vertical picture to rotate, but hopefully you can get the idea!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! Since we are going to Concord on Tuesday and since Grandma and Grandpa F. are in New York, we had Easter by ourselves this year. She checked out her Easter basket, which really only had a Slinky in it...yes, it's lame, but I figured she doesn't know what's going on anyway. We greeted at church this morning and had to sit in the "reserved" seats in the front row. Erin did great - we think she was scared of being so close to everything! Then, we had a mini-Easter egg hunt in our front yard. She was too busy to pose or look at the camera, but at least you can see her in her cute dress.

She sure has changed a lot since last Easter:
