We spent the first weekend of the month in Concord for Ansley's birthday! The girls had a great time at her Hello Kitty tea party. The following week was the "week between the snows", and it was fairly calm with our usual routines all around. Erin had a snow makeup day on Saturday the 8th, about which she wasn't too happy, but it was a half day, and thankfully they only have to make up 4 of the 7 snow days on Saturdays. The other 3 days were absorbed into the schedule, since there were extra hours built in during the year.
The second snow came on the 12th, but we had lots of fun with Uncle Dale, Aunt Maria, and Cole staying over for 2 nights...after their adventure in getting from their house in Cary to ours in Holly Springs! I think Cole liked the snow and sledding down the driveway more than the girls. Mommy's birthday consisted of a snow day, but it was still fun to all be together and to not have to go anywhere. We got thawed out in time for a last-minute dinner out for Mommy and Daddy with our good friends from the old neighborhood on Friday, then we had a very fun and busy weekend over the 15th and 16th, with Nina and Lily's birthday party and Ike's birthday party both on Saturday (Erin missed her second Saturday school to "practice socializing" at the parties), and Erin's teacher's baby's baptism (got that?), make-up gymnastics class, and a nice visit from adorable baby Shreeya and her parents on Sunday!
The girls visited the dentist on the 17th, where Anna made us proud and Erin...got through it. We were proud of her too! Anna's preschool had their belated Valentine's program on the 18th, which was very cute.

On Friday the 21st, Erin's class met at Monkey Joes in Cary, which was lots of fun. Last week was a little less hectic, and we are grateful that Grandpa John and neighbor friend Lily both had very successful (minor) surgeries last week and are both doing very well. We were finally able to play with Jimmy and Danny on Thursday after a month of sicknesses for them, and Anna had a great time holding down the food table at her friend Jayme's birthday party at Monkey Joes (again!) on Friday. The month ended on a fun note with Anna and Daddy attending a father/daughter dance at church on Friday night. They had a wonderful time!
So, it was a nice month, but we do look forward to spring. We got a tease this past weekend with weather in the 70s, and now it is sleeting. Spring will happen, though! I only have this one picture from the camera downloaded from February, but check back soon for more!
