Working It

Well, we are still trying to get into the swing of working/daycare. It's been rough, but we are surviving. The 12-hour days are long for everyone, especially for Bob, who has to work a full day AND take care of Erin before and afterward. This week won't be so bad, as I only have 4 days of work instead of 5 like the past 2 weeks. It will be this way all through March, then hopefully I will be back to three 12-hour days like normal. Some days I think, "why are we bothering with this?", but other days I'm happy to be able to get out of the house. I also think that it will be good for Erin to be around other kids in the long run. I think the perfect situation would be for me to work part-time, either two 12's or three 8's - but I don't know when I will be allowed to do that. The job itself is going well - my preceptor (older nurse who is showing me the ropes) is very nice and I have learned so much in just 3 days on the unit.

So, we'll keep going and see how it goes.

Hey! It's good to hear how you are doing! It sounds like work is just crazy right now... I hope you get that part time schedule you want! Maybe with the economy the way it is, you'll be more likely to get it!

With a title like "Working It," I thought we were going to see Erin in a short skirt or something. :) Glad to hear things are better, hope each week is an improvement. That's how I looked at Tucker's puppyhood - the next week just HAD to get better.
