The first weekend of the month, Erin had her dance class, which she loves. We waffle on her taking a "real" dance class that meets weekly, or if the free monthly class is enough. She does do gymnastics too, so we feel like that is enough. We'd also like them both to try soccer or t-ball at some point, and Girl Scouts in a year or two. People weren't kidding when they said that kids' activities keep you busy! Anyway, we had friends Liz and David over for dinner the night of the 1st, and spent the 2nd with our usual church stuff and a make-up gymnastics class for Erin. The week of the 3rd, we "enjoyed" yet another early release on Monday and snow day on Tuesday (tried a fun new play place with Aunt Maria and Cole),

and then back to school for Erin on Wednesday while Anna and I went to Ash Wednesday Mass, dance class, chick-fila with Anna's preschool friend (I had fries and coleslaw), and gymnastics after school. We got to go to a workshop for Erin's class that Friday and then bowling with 2 of Erin's classmates. That was a lot of fun!

Daddy took the day off to paint Erin's classroom bathroom. Luckily, all the kids approved of the new color - good thing they were less critical than the school administration who made her teacher buy 3 different colors before they approved! We had the first of three fish fries at church that Friday, which we love. We have gotten 2 neighbor families hooked too. Saturday the 8th, we met Erin's friend from last year for lunch and then went to Daddy's friend's house for dinner and played with his 2-year-old girl.
The following week was less busy, with just our normal routine. I have gone to a few Pilates classes on Wednesday nights at the Y with my sister-in-law's sister-in-law (got that?) and have enjoyed it. It's one of those things that doesn't feel hard when I'm doing it, but I sure feel it the next day! I've been eating lunch with Erin at school on Thursdays, which we both enjoy. Daddy went out with some neighbor daddies on the night of the 14th, and we girls (and one lone 10-year-old boy) had a pizza party at our house.
The week after was pretty normal again, except for a great meeting with Erin's teacher on the 20th. She is recommending Erin to be in a regular class kindergarten next year! This is a really big deal for us and we are so very proud of our big girl. She has come such a long way in the past 3 years, and we couldn't be more proud of her! She can still get speech and OT, as well as resource help as needed, but we are all super excited about this (including Erin!). This great news has led us to our current dilemma - Catholic school vs. public school. We are lucky to have 2 wonderful options available to us, but the 1,000+ factors that go into this decision are really giving us a hard time. We welcome any input!
Anna had 2 playdates on Friday the 21st, with a classmate in the morning, and then both girls went to Jimmy's house in the afternoon. The 22nd, we took Daddy to the airport for his big trip to Germany and England the following week. We girls had a good week at home, the last week of school for both for awhile. Erin had her kindergarten assessment at St. Mary Magdalene (our Catholic school option) on the 26th and did a great job, and we all had fun at Bounce U after that! We played at Jimmy's house again on the 27th, and went to Concord on the 28th for a really fun weekend, sleeping over at "Ansley's" (Logan, Ben, Uncle Chris, and Aunt Leslie also live there) house and seeing Mommy's grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousin! We finished the month out on a good note with a Pullen Park visit with neighbor friend Ella. Erin is tracked out until April 23rd, so we have been having lots of fun and staying very busy!
These are all the pictures I have from last month. I need to get better about taking pictures, but I guess we haven't been doing too much that is worthy of pictures. Happy Spring!
