We also decided to install a white beadboard and chair rail along the bottom of the walls, similar to what Erin's friend Davis has. This is a picture of Davis's room - ours is still in the painting stages:

I am shopping around for a "theme" for the room...I know most people have a theme in mind before they start painting, but I wasn't quite on the ball. Here are some contenders. We'll probably get the twin bed quilt/comforter and get coordinating bed skirt, curtains, etc.
Please vote for your favorite (if you like any of them!). They might seem a little "old" for her, but we didn't want to get something she'd get tired of in 2-3 years. Comments? Suggestions?

The beadboard looks good! My vote is in the order they are shown. Blocked one first, diagonal stripes 2nd and the pink and yellow one third.
we like the middle one. the flowers and stripes are cute!
I am a little confused...the paint looks green in the picture...I like #3 the best but #1 and 2 would probably look best with the purple. It will be so cute! By the way, I hope my husband didn't comment something vulgar that you had to remove.
so are any of these picturs things you have???? trim looks too good to be Bob's handy work.
Sorry to be confusing! That picture is of Davis's room...ours is still in the painting stages.
I love the idea of using the white beadboard on the bottom. And you know I'm a fan of purple.
I really like the second choice (diagonal stripes).
Can't wait to see the finished room!
